VIVA VIGAN BINATBATAN FESTIVAL

The Binatbatan Festival of the Arts is one of Vigan City's most anticipated events, as it includes a variety of activities, contests, and opportunities for Biguenos to demonstrate their artistic abilities.

Binatbatan Street Dancing, The Kalesa Parade, Abel Fashion Shows, and other exciting events are held during this period, but this year, because the pandemic is still ongoing and the number of people infected with COVID-19 continues to rise, it made celebrating this festival a challenge for locals. However, Vigan City Officials came up with creative ways for us to continue to celebrate this festival. Some events, such as the Binatbatan Street Dance Competition, were held online, while others, such as the Abel House Decor Contest, were held in Calle Crisologo, but with strict implementation of health protocols.

Because of the epidemic, we didn't get to celebrate the Binatbatan Festival this year like we used to, but we must remember to prioritize our own health first, especially in times like these.
